Speech labs

The speech lab of the University of Amsterdam was first setup by the phoneticians in 1933, then reinstalled at new locations in 1966, 2006, 2016 and 2022. The present speech lab is located on the ground floor in the Bushuis, rooms F0.21 and F0.21A (behind the porter).
The two soundproof booths (double walled) are used for sound recordings, EyeTracking (Tobii T120 & EyeLink 1000), EEG and RT experiments. Besides testing adults we have been testing infants (EyeTracking & EEG) for many years, even at the age of 2 months.

If you want to check the availability of the labs you can use our online studio calendar.

I'm managing the labs and give technical support: you can contact me if you have any questions or want to use our labs.
