A command that creates one Configuration and one Salience object from a collection of one or more Distance objects.

These Configuration and Salience objects normally serve as starting points for an individual difference scaling such as an INDSCAL analysis.

The algorithm is described in Young, Takane & Lewyckyj (1978).
