Sampled data analysis settings...
|
|
This setting determines how fast your data analyses will be performed on your computer.
Settings
- Use multi-threading
- Only if you choose on, the computing load will be equally divided among a number of different processors on your computer.
- Number of threads to use
- determines the number of threads that you would like to use. Most modern computers can use multiple processors and each processor can process two threads. For each thread all the memory and data structures that are needed to perform its analysis have to be allocated beforehand. In this way each thread has its own memory and does not interfere with other threads.
- Min. frames / thread
- the minimum number of frames in a thread. This number should not be too low otherwise
- Max. frames / thread
- the maximum number of frames in a thread.
- Extra analysis info
- returns extra information for each analysed frame in the info window.
Examples
Suppose we have 10 threads available for an analysis that needs 500 frames to be processed.
