CipSeg provides a sophisticated Chinese word segmenter for simplified Chinese . After several years of active development and testing under productive environment, the segmenter proves to be robust and highly effective with the state of the art accuracy. Its performance is comparable or superior to other Chinese word segmenter.
CipSeg is originally developed under WIN32 environment by Natural Language Processing Lab (www.nlplab.cn) at Northeastern University, P.R.China. . This page describes the unix port of CipSeg maintained by Zhang Le.
Binary version of CipSeg is provided freely for research purpose only. Please contact www.nlplab.cn for information on commercial use.

Install: run the following command as root:
tar zxf cipseg-platform.tar.gz -C /usr/local
