Preamble

The patients who contributed to this corpus did so to further the progress of science and
technology. They also expected that their anonymity and privacy would be protected. We have a
duty to honor the intentions and expectations of the contributors. Therefore, we have to
implement some measures that will limit your freedom to use the corpus. We thank you for your
understanding in the matter. If you have questions or suggestions, please contact us.

Both individuals and organizations can obtain a permission to use the corpus. In case the 
permission is given to an organization, all members by law and custom of that organization 
have permission to use and distribute the corpus, provided that they each adhere to the 
conditions stated in the license.


Definitions

-The NKI-AVL: The Department of Head and Neck of the Netherlands Cancer Institute - 
 Antoni van Leeuwehoek Hospital in Amsterdam
 
-The Licensee or "You": any natural or legal person who makes any usage of the 
 corpus under the terms of the Licence.

-The corpus: A copy of the copyrighted works, in whole or in part, unaltered, transformed, or
 modified, in any form, on any medium

-Distributing the corpus: Distributing, propagating, conveying, or copying the corpus by any
 means

-Using the corpus: Any act to read, access, transform, modify, or manipulate the 
 corpus or any part of it, by any means, and also any act to make such acts by others possible

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

You have the right to use and distribute the corpus provided that:

- You have permission from the NKI-AVL to use and distribute the corpus under this 
  license
- You do not distribute the corpus to persons that are not licensees and You do not allow such 
  persons to use the corpus
- You use or distribute the corpus for Research, Development, or Teaching
- You accept the fiduciary duty as written in the notice that accompanies the corpus and You 
  ascertain that the necessary steps are taken to fulfil this fiduciary duty

The Licence and the rights granted hereunder will terminate automatically upon any breach by the 
Licensee of the terms of the Licence or by any breach of the fiduciary duty by the Licensee.
